Activities & Involvement:
I volunteered at the library, assisting people with technology, and participated in a debate class, which taught me many important life skills. I spent much of my time engaging in creative writing, which allowed me to write moving stories and express myself at a deeply personal and intimate level.
Honors & Achievements:
Due to my incredible test performance, among a number of other things, I was awarded the honor of being a National Merit Finalist, a National Hispanic Scholar, a Goldberg Scholar, and an AP Scholar.
I plan to continue engaging in disability rights advocacy, to pursue research in the Medical field, and to use my education and my dedication to change the world for the better.
I am most proud of my accomplishments in regards to my work with the faculty at my school in order to incorporate disability history into the curriculum and increase overall awareness of disability.
